FKT: Fernando Rangel - Vuelta a Valle de Bravo (Mexico) - 2020-12-06

For the first time in it's history, Valle de Bravo's reservoir was ran around in a single stage during de Vuelta a Valle, a new experimental race that focused on achieving this feat. 
On its first year, on Dec. 6th 2020 Vuelta a Valle's 9 out of 9 runners completed the course, with Fernando Rangel taking home the gold and setting a new FKT. 
The route offers scenic views of the lake, takes you through all the townships that surround it, and makes you run on road, trail, forest roads, arid landscapes and some serious hills. 
The most problematic part of the course is a private road on the south side, so make sure you have permission to run there if you attempt an FKT. Otherwise, de Vuelta a Valle will now be a yearly race to celebrate Valle de Bravo, and keep the battle for faster FKTs going.
