FKT: Finn Van Buskirk - Mt Marcy (NY) - 2026-06-06

Trail was in pretty good condition for the most part through the Marcy dam area and then it got a bit muddy through the rocky sections and started misting during the later part of the ascent. Temperature was good throughout hovering around mid 50s to low 60s. At the top there was good views of the surrounding peaks and thicker rain clouds that were about to roll in. On the descent it started raining at a greater rate but overall the trail wasn’t too water logged except for a few patches. I’m excited to be able to start the summer with an amazing trail and glad that my first time on Mount Marcy was fun.
