Report

My full report will be on my strava https://www.strava.com/activities/18032938263/overview

I left Milngavie on Monday 6th April at 6am with this being my second attempt of the full route. In my previous attempt I reached Fort William in 34 hours and finished there due to injury. I ran the WHW this time in 32 hours, having had a stop at Bridge of Orchy hotel (including a shower! and a small sleep). I had support runners with me for all of the route with the exception of the section along Loch Lomond. The weather was fantastic, and had not only a tail wind but a lovely sunrise going over the Devils Staircase. I continued through Fort William to stop in Caol so I had offically started the GGW. Stopped for food here and then set off in full sunshine! GGW definitely felt harder, and the night section was wet and windy. Stopped for another quick sleep at Fort A. Completed the GGW in 31 hours, having had support runners with me the whole way! I had road support catching me as much as possible so I didn't have to carry supplies.

I completed the whole route in 63 hours and 43 minutes.

As per other messages, congratulations on a sensational run and to be the first female to complete the full route.

It is great there are now 3 of us and hopefully others will follow along and take the challenge on.

All the best

Keith
