For my 28th birthday, I wanted to run 28 miles, and found the Arlington boundary to be a perfect match! I went counter-clockwise starting from TR island so the PHT could keep me paced slowly to start off. Light rain made the rock scrambles a bit more exciting than usual. I wasn't really racing this one, just wanted to keep it pretty even pacing for the non-trail sections and finish in about 6 hours. Ended up seeing 9 out of the 10 boundary stones. Attempted to see NW#2 but the owners of the home on 38th St. N were not around :(.
Carried most of my nutrition and liquid, but stopped at one corner store (Family Quick Mart on Columbia Pike) for water and electrolytes. ~4 liters of liquid (water, skratch, gatorade), 5 Gu (2 bday cake), 2 granola bars, 1 uncrustable, gummy clusters, salt tabs
