I finally ticked the Walney English Coastal Path Loop off my to-do list!

The weather was exactly what I expected over on the Isle of Walney; testing conditions of wet, windy and slippery with some boggy patches thrown in for good measure.

The wind hit me hard as I headed south, but it was still a great experience overall.

Even though the conditions were tough, I loved being out there.

It was an overcast sky, approx 13°C degress, bit chilly in the 17mph winds from the SE and certainly kept me on my toes. Unsupported, no gels or water, will take some with me next time and can’t wait to come back and tackle it again in nicer conditions!
