This run started off as a training run for a much bigger fell challenge in a few weeks. But feeling under confident I set out with a point to prove to myself. I ridged the east side and the wind was blowing a gale and the rain was sidewards but luckily at this point I had a tail wind and used it to my advantage. Then when I summited Penyfan and leaped down the other side towards Cribyn, the winds changed and I was head on into the gale. But without looking at my watch once I flew down the Roman road and face planted the floor. But I didn't let this stop me because adrenaline was rushing and at this point I knew I was on for the FKT. To my amazement and blown out lungs I done it and I'm chuffed to peices.
Very highly recommend this route, on a nice day. I done this fully solo with nothing on but a vest, shorts, shoes and watch.
