After hearing that I would go to Vienna for the EGU2026 conference, I immediately looked for an extra mission while being here. This route had never been done unsupported, so I took on the challenge.
Overall, the route is great. There are many watertaps, except between km 25 and 50 there are none alongside the road. The weather was really humid, so at 40km i decided to go 500m off-route, and back the same way, to refill my water.
I fueled on PBJ’s and SaltStick capsules. It was a great day. Screamed a couple times out loud, as I was going insane. No Music, No support. Just me and my thoughts setting my first FKT.
