On April 19, 2026, I completed this route supported. I started just before 8:00 AM on a misty morning at Bad Bentheim Castle. After only about 40 meters, I encountered the first roadworks, which required a short detour (nice way to start of the day haha). Around kilometer 10, there was another diversion where I had to bypass a small section. Overall, these detours did not provide any advantage or disadvantage.
The route was very well marked with signs and corresponded closely to the GPX track. Much of the route consisted of gravel and asphalt, with a few trail sections. It is not technical, offering a good opportunity to achieve a fast time. Along the quieter sections, I also came across quite a bit of wildlife, including rabbits and deer.
With the support of a friend who drove to various locations along the route, I was able to resupply approximately every 8 kilometers.
After 7 hours and 49 minutes, I reached the finish. We initially expected the finish to be at the Podagristen monument, but since it was stolen in 2024, the endpoint has effectively shifted slightly further along the route.
