I know someone will quickly top this, but wanted to get the Vermont Presi on the board!
Very humid day with lots of mist/fog (the eventual afternoon rain felt great), but was just on the slow Green Mountain grind treadmill for 8 hours and had a blast! Went out solo with the running vest at trekking poles, ate a ton of gummy bears and Oreos, and really only had issues getting water on the way back.
Good climb and decent to Abraham before a nice journey south into the Breadloaf Wilderness. Main difficulties on the way south were some wetter/slipper rocks along with the trail overgrowth making it out to see the trail/pick out foot placement. Definitely know someone will go faster on that ridge, but happy to just cruise along up there. After making it down to Wilson took a short detour down the Clark Brook Trail to get to a creek and filter some water. Added ~0.5mi total and ~300ft of climbing, but really needed the extra water for the journey back.
Hope that someone else appreciates this route, that the Green Mountains continue to get some well deserved love, and that the Long Trail always retains its rugged character!
