To celebrate eight years of sobriety I ran from the Bremerton Ferry to the the Bainbridge Ferry. These docks carry over 9 million passengers annually for Washington State Ferries, making them two of the busiest ferry routes in America and the world.

The route begins with one hand on the Bremerton Terminal before heading north up the Kitsap Peninsula. Start on State Route 304 before pivoting onto Pacific Ave. West on 13th Street through Evergreen Park then north on Park Ave before merging onto Highway 303 across Dyes Inlet. West onto Lebo Blvd and northwest on Tracyton Beach Road. Several miles north on Central Valley Road then continued on Viking Way before making the turn at Liberty Bay and heading south on Front Street then merging onto Highway 305 for final ten miles. Cross Agate Pass Bridge and continue south over Bainbridge Island's rolling hills (498 meters climbed in total) to reach the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal. Clock stops with a hand on the terminal building.

The Kitsap Peninsula is home to several iconic landmarks and a vibrant running community. The Bremerton Ferry to Bainbridge Ferry overland traverse is a fitting first FKT for the peninsula.
