Started with 2.5L of water and few snacks in my running vest. I followed gpx file from FKT website to make sure I'm on the right track, since I never ran these trails. I ended up making one wrong turn around mile 10, but I quickly realized and backtracked. Was able to avoid most of the snow by running above it or around, some parts had running water going through the trail where snow was present.
There was plenty of streams for the first 20miles miles, before the Sacagewea climb. Unfortunately I only topped off one water bottle around mile 20 around the intersection of North Cottonwood trail. Once got on the ridge no water was available therefore I had to conserve of what I had. I used snow along the ridge to fill up my empty water bottles and with the heat of the sun and very little shade it melted quite quickly. Did not resupplied or ran with anyone along the way. Managed to finish entire run on 3.5L of water, definitely wished I had more.
Overall the trail is amazing, first 20miles and last 5miles are very runnable and super fun. The heat and water situation slowed me down quite a bit. The views were amazing with surrounding mountains and beautiful wildflowers along the way.
