Report

Is this report for the admins? I guess so. Ifnot, fine. But I will write a usually pretty lengthy report and post it on laufofmylife.wordpress.com
So, this is rather technical here.
I got both the original track and the augmented version with water access on cemetaries from Morten and Holger. I followed the cemetary one, when I needed water, and skipped the added parts when I had the chance to buy drinks along the way.
I started around dusk (21:05) shortly on Friday evening in Nienburg at the sign that depicts the start of the Roswithaweg and finished at the Roswithabrunnen in Bad Gandersheim around 19:43, which is a bit further than the actual track which stops at the central place.

I got food and drinks only from supermarkets, kiosks, open water sources and one time, kind strangers that lived along the route. I took no mean of transportation. I had a filter bottle with me, but got stream water only once, but did not drink it, because it tasted soapy. I ran alone all the time, even though I needed to remind me constantly that there is no one else around because of pain dissociation and hallucinations...

I tracked the run (ha!) with two Suunto watches. The vertical which was my main navigation tool and has the exact start and end times. And the Ocean for backup which I intentionally stopped a tad later as otherwise the Suunto app would remove the second activity as duplicate. I recharged both watches on Sunday morning, but only a bit after the Vertical had already dropped to power saving mode and stopped GPS tracking. At around 32:42:24 there is a gap until my morning break where I fixed the watches. See the second track here to know I followed the right path. Also, I am afraid that with my mushed brain, I paused the Vertical for a second twice when I tried to see the battery percentage while loading. So I added two seconds in the total elapsed time to the time given by the first activity. If that is not OK, feel free to take the time from the second activity.

I have some more pics of proof from Morten and Holger at the start and from Stefanie at the finish and could provide the originals with time stamps, but if this is sufficient here already, I'd rather not bother them.

I had huge problems early on from the remainders of a blocked illioscratic joint from two days ago. I got it unblocked, but the muscles were not happy yet, so I developed an asymetric gait and got a bloated shin on Saturday morning. From then on it was all about avoiding putting load on the shin and keep my gait as symmetric as possible while ignoring pain. Obviously, it worked, but it was no fun. Still, I wanted to have my entry next to my friends here, and my car was parked at the finish, so I had to waddle through.
