I ran the Zoar Valley Trail in Ohio solo and northbound. I carried all my food and water and did not resupply or receive aid along the way. I did not need to filter water along the way as I packed it in my vest for the whole route.
I took it slowly and did a small amount of walking on the back half, running most of the time. The weather was rainy the whole time and picked up near the end. There were some unchained dogs around mile 6, but they stayed in their yard. The first half of the trail was almost entirely on roads, but there weren’t too many cars. The back half was on nice trail near the Tuscarawas river and finished on the towpath. Trail was largely unmarked and I followed the route on my Coros, though there were a couple of points I had to stop and consult the map.
