This was an amazing adventure for myself and my 12 year old son--incredible views of the lakes, ponds, mountains, and ocean beyond. Thanks to Stephen Kerr for posting it and for some advice on the route and technicality. We lost the trail a couple of times but found it again by following the GPS in all but one case (at the very top of Tunk Mountain where we couldn't find one portion of the trail, but we got more distance trying to locate it and eventually got back on the correct trail (but missed a short section of it because of this). It was very technical throughout (particularly at the top of Tunk) so we weren't able to do much running. We carried all our own water and food for this trek. Maybe should have had a bit more water as I was out in the middle of the final descent down Tunk. I got significantly longer and more elevation, but at least the former was probably due to some of our wrong turns.
