Being based in Aireys Inlet, I utilised public transport to get to the start at Point Impossible. Thankfully it was a sunny winters day, making for ideal conditions, with some wind. There were plenty of opportunities to replenish water along the way, and the tide was low which made the beach section to Urquarts Bluff enjoyable. Being a local, it was great to finally complete the Surf Coast Walk in one go, and set a female FKT.
I hope this FKT encourages other women to take on the challenge - it would be great to see more female FKT's being set on these popular routes!
