Started out around 9am from the River Lot. Carried 3.5L of hydration (Hoist) and around 2000 kcal of BPN gel, Maurten Gel and my remaining Spring Awesomesauce. Loudoun Heights was beautiful, it started to rain on the way up. Took it a little easier on the way down, and made it back across the bridge and straight up on the AT through town. Harper's Ferry started to get busy at that time so I was dodging people left and right. Maryland Heights was packed but fast hiked my way to the top, definitely not as high as Loudoun Heights and that felt nice! Ran on the canal to Keep Tryst, the flat parts felt like they took forever. Legs had some fatigue on them before the first two climbs but actually felt better as I approached Weverton. The last climb was great, went quick and I was back down to the bottom running as fast as I could to get back to the car! I ran through town like the directions told me to and to the top of the parking lot and back. All fuel and hydration was carried with me from the beginning, I never stopped along the route for any assistance. :)
