Started at 6:01 on March 28 at Kodels trailhead! Lovely climb up dugway with the sunrise and a flowy down to Goldstar and my crew (Lucie rathbun, Lindsey McDonald, and Jacob Dickhausen). Started getting toasty on otto’s and upper liberty (the crux of the day for me), and met crew again at Upper Liberty where they sent me off with lots of ice and cooling! Down ute and across to serpents was very warm, then met crew again at devils kitchen with more ice! Finishing up no thoroughfare with no map or phone was a delightful route finding adventure. Didn’t check my watch or time all day but surprisingly made up time on No Thoroughfare. Heard my crew cheering at the top of the canyon and tried to finish strong up to them. An insanely good day. Was worried about the heat (80+ degrees) but was able to stay salty and iced’!
