I started early on Friday the 12th of July to accomplish this run.
The morning started off cool but heated up pretty quickly.
The plan was to do this segment solo and unsupported, however things changed a little as potable water was not that easy to obtain and a friend jumped in to support around the 50km mark.
If I was just doing this rail trail, I would have most likely pushed though (and paid for it later).
However, this was section one.
The goal was run the KKRT, the Link Trail and the BVRT all in one go (305km)
And yes, we did it.
