Scafell Pike - Anti-clockwise via Seathwaite farm
The weather opened up a little, dragged a friend along, stayed steady from Seathwaite Farm to the top, via the anti-clockwise route. Stopped for my friend in places and took photos every now and again. Hit the top under 2hrs (1:57:33), nearly overheated with too many layers. Then picked up the pace over the top peaks and down. Unsupported, both had our own snacks and fluid. I will do the course on my own, but safety first for a few goes with someone nearby. You need to know the route well to go at speed in the changing conditions. Probably carried too much, but you know how mountain running goes, take more than you need, and speed up at the end. Scafell Pike is stunning, it's best to run it just before summer, not near winter. Use the correct kit and have a decent GPS for the highest mountain in England.
