I’d been thinking about giving 5 Passes a crack for the past year. Finally lined up an attempt, setting off at 6:15am into a bluebird day. March was a good time for it, settled weather, no snow, decent daylight hours, and low river levels. I carried a 12L running vest with just the essentials to keep things light.
Travel was slower than I’d hoped up the Beans Burn, and the legs were definitely feeling it by the time I reached Park Pass. Passed a few tramping groups along the way.
Glad to finally give it a go after thinking about it for so long, a great day in the mountains and stoked to get it done.
