I chose to go the clockwise direction for this attempt, taking on the navigation through North Point & Chai Wan while still relatively fresh! Despite a few wrong side roads adding to the overall time enjoyed the promenades and walkways heading east along the top of the Island. Navigating to Big Wave Bay was a first, but a lovely part of the journey before the 1140 steps down to the beach.
I stopped for supplies at a local store in Big Wave Bay before heading on the road to Stanley. Cruised past the drop down to the catchwater for 30m until I remembered, but then came back and dropped down. Pushed along the catch water as best I could before enjoying the Tai Tam damn section. Stopped at the Stanley 711 for some more supplies before the last leg home.
At this stage had eaten my homemade rice balls mixture (thanks Jason Koop). Through Repulse Bay / Deep Water Bay and Ocean park, before really hitting the wall. Going through Aberdeen hitting Cyberport, was so close to finish, but was having really trouble breathing. Quads were shot, but past Mt Collinson, knowing Kennedy town is right there and then back to Sun Yat Sen was a great feeling.
I love the sights and sounds you get to experience on this run, truely everything that HK has to offer. The Waterfall park was a special favourite
