I started the run from King Alfreds Statue in Winchester, UK on the 5th November 2021 at 10:43am
The intention was to run the full 220 miles self-supported, buying food and drink from the hamlets, villages and towns I passed through along the route. After completing circa 173 miles of the route self-supported, I got into trouble on Sunday evening after about 67 hours of no sleep, becoming very confused about where I was, what I was doing, becoming increasing cold and unable to make basic decisions. At that point my bother-in-law took the decision to come and find me (I was wearing a GPS Tracker ). Once he eventually found me we spent the night in his car about 300 from where I left the trail. In the morning I rejoined the trail where I left it and I continued the run but now as a supported challenge.
I completed the full 220 mile route on 8th November 2021 at 19:14pm.
