On Saturday April 5, 2025, my incredible wife Jamie Harcar (@RisenRunner) and our friend Myah Haid (@MyahOnTheRun) set out on a new ultra running adventure—one defined by endurance, friendship, and relentless weather.

Together, they completed and established a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the Butler Freeport Community Trail (Out & Back) in Pennsylvania—a scenic and rugged 40-mile route.

Their journey began at 6:19 AM and ended at 4:17 PM, with a total elapsed time of 9 hours, 58 minutes, and 33 seconds.

In true Jamie and Myah fashion, no ultra is complete without a storm. With a forecast calling for morning thunderstorms, 20 mph winds, and all-day rain, nature did not disappoint. The day kicked off with lightning, then settled into a steady downpour—creating dramatic mist, roaring waterfalls, and high currents along Buffalo Creek. The trail was soaked, the skies were dark, and it was perfect.

Huge thanks to our amazing friends Megan, Angie, and Kate, who came out to support and log miles with Jamie and Myah, bringing joy and energy along the way.

The expedition was led and expertly managed by Crew Captain Sean Harcar (@seanharcar), who supported the entire 40-mile effort from start to finish.

Fueling the FKT:
 • Jamie powered her run with Bare Performance Nutrition Gels (@bpnsupps), Huma Gel (@humagel), Honey Stinger Gels (@honeystinger), and Skratch Labs Energy Chews & Hydration (@skratchlabs).
 • Myah crushed it with Lay’s Classic Chips (@lays), Nerds Candy (@nerdscandy), Skratch Energy Chews, Tailwind Nutrition Hydration (@tailwindnutrition), and her iconic #TrailBurger.

This was more than just a run—it was a celebration of grit, community, and adventure.

Long training efforts like this are about so much more than simply logging miles. They’re about discovering joy and adventure throughout the process. The miles themselves are a gift—they give us the space to grow, reflect, and strengthen ourselves inside and out. Every step forward is a chance to become more grounded, more connected, and more human.

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
— Romans 15:13 (NLT)

Jamie and Myah are most definitely @WomenInUltrarunning. And now, they’re also @WomenWhoFKT and official holders of a new @FastestKnownTime
