Wind, sunshine and rain. It had it all! But the bad weather meant it was pretty quiet on the path. It's fairly easy to navigate (just follow the water, right?), but the very start at Pennybridge Farm to the canal proper (after Greywell tunnel) has a number of paths that can confuse. Stick to the GPS, and you're fine. I also took a bit of a wrong turn after a bridge in Brookwood (wrong side of the canal) only to realise that it didn't matter what side I went!
There is a diversion from the path in Woking (June 2020), as De Wet Kruger mentioned in his run, and does mean you have to deal with some traffic lights and crossing main roads in Woking Town. Really don't think this impacts overall time too much, and waiting at traffic lights gives you a little rest :-)
Thanks to De Wet Kruger for putting this route up!
