Start time: 7:15AM at Fort Willow

We woke up early and staged our cars on both ends of the 9 Mile Portage Trail. After chugging an energy drink and a quick warmup, we started at Fort Willow (which is a cool stop with lots of history to learn about, and has an outhouse). We followed the trail with a quick road section before turning onto a long boardwalk which quickly turned into the longest climb of the trail. The miles quickly ticked by because we’re running together and there’s a good mix of terrain along the way. Before we knew it, we made our way into the city limits, crossing a couple roads and found ourselves descending on a nice downhill which brought us to downtown Barrie. The streets happened to be closed off for a street festival. After a few bobs and weaves, and descending through the amphitheater, we finished at the information sign. Success! It’s so nice to do these together ❤️
