FKT: Jamieson Hatt - Esker Trail - 2023-08-27

We were on our yearly trip to Chapleau and were camping at Ivanhoe Lake Provincial Park on the weekend. It's a beautiful area and I saw that this trail that was just a hair over 5 miles that was FKT worthy. So I gave it a go. It's basically an old logging road on an esker. There are some pretty good sized rocks though and you do have to be careful not to roll an ankle. My effort on the day was pretty good. Some decent rollers to climb also. I paced well and before I knew it, I was at the stop sign which signifies the end of the trail. I was happy with the effort. I also had a 5 mile cool down back to the car. Great day overall and happy to put this one on the map!
