Started at 10:40 am on Thursday 8/27/26 from Snowgrass Flats. I’ve done this route for photography several times in the past and saw the FKT and Strava segment seemed like reasonable targets. Weather was warm and sunny, but not too hot.
Trail was in the best condition I’ve seen it besides a couple downed trees. Reached Goat Lake in around 1:10. Really beautiful day out there with high visibility of the surrounding mountains. Relatively busy for a Thursday, but didn’t seem to affect my time much. Lost maybe a couple minute from navigation, but all went relatively smooth. Reached Snowgrass just after 2:13 and continued another 0.6 miles to Berry Patch for the Strava Segment as well.
Hopefully this sets the new men’s benchmarks and brings out some of the local FKT elites to try!
