This route is short but very, very sweet. Spectacular views and a real ball-buster due to the descent and ascent whichever way you take the loop. Jamie and I started early on Saturday 05/12/20 and ran clockwise starting at Jamison Lookout, you can start pretty much anywhere on the loop, however Jamison is a good start due to the proximity to the car park and the sublime views across Jamison Valley. We ran the trail and stairs down to the Falls and took a couple of pictures, then down Slack Stairs and hit the bottom of the waterfall. There is then a contour hugging trail that takes you along the bottom of the escarpment to the base of Lodore and Sylvia Falls. The climb up through the rainforest was beautiful but humid, waterfalls were not at full pace which meant we could cross safely. We then climbed up past Empress Falls, up towards the Conservation Hut, along Shortcut track back to the car park and Jamisons Lookout. We didn't crank out a particularly fast pace and our time is easily beatable, rather we just took in the views and enjoyed time on the trail together. A hearty breakfast followed.
