After attempting to do this in July this year, running off route and adding an extra 4km onto what is supposed to be a 35km route, I went back on 28th September to lay down a better time.
Glad to say this time I made no navigation errors, but still had issues with my IT Band (which also happened last time around...bizzare !!)
I had to wait at the railway crossing in Ford as the gates went down just as I got there, so I lost a good 3 minutes there, it's worth noting that there are a total of 4 railway crossings on this route.
The main difficulty with this route is the number of gates and stys, there's a lot of narrow paths that follow ta lot of the river sections are no wider than a foot across and rutted with a lot of undergrowth on either side, making fast running in places almost impossible.
Happy enough with the time today, but I'm sure someone will do this in well under 3 hours one day.
I carried all my supplies with me this time.
