I got dropped off at the Kaena Point parking lot at 5:15am. Then I jogged to the light beacon to begin my adventure at 6am. I reached Makapu’u Lookout at 8pm.
I took the safer route through Wahiawa, Millilani, Waipio in Central Oahu. Then I took the Pearl Harbor and the Airport viaduct bike paths and chose to run on Dillingham Hwy, Beretania Blvd, and Waialae Ave before I got on Kalanianaole Hwy. For the final stretch, I chose Kaiwi Coast.
There’s a lot of 7-11s along the way to refuel. Highlights were getting attacked by two stray dogs in Waipahu, and two random braddahs saw me in Haleiwa and saw me again in Mililani and started talking story with me. I'd do this route again starting from Makapu'u lookout.
