Many photos on Strava.
First off, this was just pure fun! Hard scrambling at its best! Some face climbing on plates, on patina, on nubbins, easy crack climbing, some stemming, a bit of a choose your own adventure type experience on the Rib.
Ok, now that this is off my chest.
You want to scout your approach because it gets confusing the last half mile with a bazillion small trails.
Make sure you look at my photos and the photos on Mountain Project to pull onto the right route.
The whole climb felt very playful easy to stay in your happy place even while very exposed.
After topping out the route a bit downhill from the Pyramid feature follow the obvious vegetated ledge down to a big tree and look downhill...there is the descent gully.
I rapped the first rap, snagged my rope, up climbed then downclimbed realizing it was an unnecessary rap
I continued skipping raps and just cruising down the cracks of the gully facing out until taking a one rope rap down the “rap from rising moons” I then went back to just downclimbing chimneys and cracks and some face until I hit the trail... it was slow going not knowing it...but doable.
Again, this may be a favorite run + hard scramble, just because of how cruiser and fun the route was.
It can certainly go 20-30min faster pretty easy. Good luck!
