I completed this loop solo and unsupported running CCW from the Sylvan Lake campground TH, ending at the same and taking Little Devil's Tower, Norbeck #3 and Harney #9. I summited the peak and up the stairs of the tower to the observation deck. I carried my usual handheld with water and no calories needed.
This is a beautiful loop and must do for the summit of Black Elk Peak. The best view I've had in SD.
