FKT: Jason Wheat - Soldier Creek - Trooper Trail (NE) - 2023-06-15

I ran this loop solo unsupported TH-TH CCW starting at 2:48 PM. I carried just a handheld of water. This is a great way to experience the expansiveness of Fort Robinson SP. It appears to be a mecca for equestrians, but I believe the late afternoon and a lightning storm moving in kept the riders off the trail.
This is a wilderness route with no formal trails but the route gets enough horse traffic to make the route easy to follow. However, the trail surface is rutted and the grass is high. Follow the gpx and wood posts that mark the route. Take precautions from ticks. I picked off nearly 40 that I think were all on the southern end of the route near the streams. I took this run easy to allow a better time to be more attainable by others.
