Had an awesome day. I dropped in at South Kaibab Trailhead on Friday April 22, 2022 at 12:00am and finished at 5:55pm. I had support crew in the Canyon at Manzanita and Phantom Ranch and my family on South Rim. Buck Blankenship paced me the 2nd lap and helped get me through water stops quickly and took GoPro footage. Videos will be posted on social media and a documentary short will release in May 2022 online. Weather was moody. A weak storm system blew through from sunrise to mid-afternoon. Helped keep temps milder in the lower canyon. Lots of gusty winds, sprinkles, sun breaks — even a few mild snow flurries on North Rim on lap 2. Giddyup!
