FKT: Jeff Shaw - West Hartford Parks Route (CT) - 2023-10-12

I ran most of the way, with some walking mixed in toward the end. A wooden stake with a red paint mark in Mooney's Woods is where the trail veers (left) toward the school/Whitman Avenue. The hills around mile 18 (Buena Vista Road) and mile 21 (Hunter Drive) were a test! The mid-October attempt had the added benefit of catching fall foliage, a northeast must. 

No one ran with me; it was a completely solo attempt. I wore a North Face backpack with food, water, gatorade, a change of clothes and some first aid supplies.
