I parked just before the Illal Creek bridge on a spur, then ran in on Illal Creek Road. Then looped in on Illal Meadows trail, turned south to Britton Lake trail and had a quick detour off-trail to summit Spoon Peak.

Continued on around Jim Kelly, quick easy summit, then started heading up the east ridge of Coquihalla Mountain. such a nice fun ridge! a little stiff and steep to start, class 3+ ish, nice knife-ish ridge, but wide enough. on the final drop between Central-true summit, I descended left into some exposed/loose sections but was okay, regained the final ridge to the summit. Then, it was a nice walk off loop west for a bit, diverted north, stayed left of gully, and just meandered down the NW ridge full walk off no scrambling. after the gully opened up, the two ridges started to split, so diverted back east and up over into the north bowl and then around the north side of Coquihalla Mountain.

From there, nice trail and nothing notable for Illal, Elephant, Spiral. Then looped out on Gardner Trail and dropped through a couple cut blocks to the lower FSR's and back out. great loop!
