FKT: Jessica Jones, Garth deRoux - Wold Rangers Way (United Kingdom) - 2021-08-21

We set off on a damp August morning to run a route we’d never run before which included the wolds way and the chalkland way. We’d planned to do it unsupported stopping off for more water midway through which is what we did. The route was made using the stories of the Wold Rangers who were nomadic local workers. Looking for work in the local area. This was especially interesting to Garth who grew up in the local area. The route was beautiful in parts taking in the Yorkshire wolds. As it was august the fields were full of ripened wheat. We felt honoured to be the first to run this route.
