I ran the Sulphur Skyline trail in Jasper National Park. It poured rain all night so everything was wet. The second half of my ascent was wet and snowy, which continued on throughout my descent until I reached an elevation where it turned to just rain. It is a high traffic trail so I had many hikers cheering me on as I flew past them down the hill! My ascent was approximately 59 minutes and descent was approximately 28 minutes.
My Hoka Speedgoats never failed me on the slippery rock so thankfully I never took any tumbles. For other equipment I wore my Garmin Instinct Solar, COROS arm band heart rate monitor, a running vest stocked with 500ml of water and 3 salted caramel toffee cookies from IGA (highly recommend if you have never tried). I ended up not drinking any water or ate any snacks.
I'm glad I wasn't doing this hike for the views today because it was a bit of a blizzard at the top!
