Having just helped out on a Paddy Buckley attempt and run a few legs over the weekend this seemed the perfect challenge to do on the way home. Paul Crease, in his own car, was also up for it. I left at 0601 to start the climb up the Snowdon Pyg track. Parking has to be prepaid (£20!). It was wet and windy but not too cold. I actually felt strong running up considering what I done in the previous few days (60miles in 3 days with 26646ft of ascent). I got to the top in 56.42mins and then descended in 45.20mins. I was a very cautious descender throughout because the rocks were so wet and greasy. I then got in the van and drove to Cadir Idris. I parked at Ty Nant car park and ascended the Pony track- up in 49.46mins and down in 34.45mins. This was by far the worst descent. The mist covered the track so its route wasn't obvious at times and I made a few detours off it, the rocks were super slippy and annoyingly I rolled my ankle. I then got in the van and drove to Pony ar Day car park. It took about 2.5hrs including faffing about trying to find a parking meter that worked. I started the watch in the car park to record the Pen Y fan route- up 27mins, down 13mins. It was cold and incredible windy on top. The descent was fabulous running and made for a brilliant finale. I completed the whole challenge in 7hrs 31mins 56secs (16.36miles, 1994m).
