A few more photos on Strava.
We undertook this journey mostly to test a few things we’ve been working on, and it was surprisingly more arduous than we imagined. It’s not flat, but it is exceedingly level. Unsurprisingly, the lack of variability in footing makes for unhappy feet. Also, water availability is a real issue in the cold months. Particularly north of the tunnel, the ground water all flows over cropland and probably ought not to be consumed (even filtered). We might come back and do this self-supported, which would be fun (there’s a bunch of places on the north end to eat, and enough on the south end).
Bailed at mile 35 out of water and apparently the trail is still closed
I just saw this! I wondered if that's what you were doing when I saw the run on Strava. I need to stop in here and check more often.
