In leu of Minotaur we set out to beat Troy and Andrews fkt and celebrate Joedy’s ability to run still after his snowboarding accident. We camped at the base and hit the trail early carrying everything we would need for the day. The ridge is gnarly with some fun exposed sections but we made good time while it was still cool. The day got quite hot and the intensity of the sun deceitful. Even our shirts got sunburnt! Around Livingstone peak James began to fade hard forcing a more relaxed pace on descent but then the trail fades and we spent a good 20-30mins trying to find the best line off the ridge. A much needed creek fill up at the base and it was a ‘sprint’ for the hiway. Quality brother time doing really hard things. Jayden and Anna brought the car around to the finish and then got engaged later that evening!
For whatever reasons we never got around to posting this attempt while it stood… the sudden death of our friend Ole only a couple weeks later and then Troy’s suicide added to our procrastination but since Adam has now bested us, figured might as well make it official.
