Started this fkt attempt on a cool August morning! The first stretch to Alice Lake went great and the reflection on the lake was incredible. Climbing the first pass of the day went smoothly and looking back at the lakes I just ran by was stunning. After this point the smoke really rolled in and became harder to breathe and move fast. I continued along and stopped to refill water at Ardeth Lake. The next stretch was VERY hot and smoky. The next stop for water was at Upper Cramer Lake and then it was mostly downhill to the last water stop when I crossed Redfish Lake Creek. From there, it was a slow, hot grind to get back to the trailhead. Cracked a Red Bull that I carried for 32 miles to help with the last 6 miles to the trailhead.
This run was completely unsupported, and I carried all my own gear, food and filtered water along the way.
