It was nice to finally run this whole ridge in a go. I've been meaning to do it for a couple of years now, and the trail conditions and time were finally right. Shout out to other folks who ran it before me: Jeremy, Eric, and Emily. It's nice to see a local geographical feature of such prominence finally get some traffic!
It was a cold, but beautiful day, and I've never seen the trails drier. They were so dry I had to carry all fluids with me from the start. I ran hard, but didn't have the freshest, or best mountain legs after over a month of running flats. Thanks to a woods break and a hard digger, I lost at least 10 minutes that can easily come off this time. I think someone fast could probably run this under 3 hours. More details on fuel, pics, etc. are in the Strava link. I biked to and from the start on Rt. 4, stashing my bike in the woods off the side of the Class 6 road at the start.
