FKT: Johanna Ohm, Brady Burgess - Ocean Beach (San Francisco, CA) - 2021-11-01

Rain and wind made fora a great moody run up and back along ocean beach. Started at what should have been a low tide (2.9 feet) but with onshore wind and swell the ocean was had us rock hopping along the cliff near Mussle rock and and the beach finish at the north end was inaccessible. As an alternate we used the cave entrance at the Sutro baths as a turn around point, going up to Cliff House and then descending back down to the baths. The sand was pretty runnable given the tides and recent rain but combined with super strong headwinds on the return trip it was much tougher than we expected. A great route, highly recommended!
