The East Munster Way was on the bucket list for a long time. Far better route than expected. Some sections on quite country roads. But it did not feel like a 'roady' route. A really enjoyable day out. A nice marathon distance is from Clogheen and finish in Clonmal which we did as a hike at a later date.
Direction chosen was Clogheen to Carrick-on-Suir to allow the more interesting mountain stages first and the long riverside run from Clonmel to Carrick for the end of the day.
Logistics at the beginning, Clonmel and at the end in either direction.
Went to Lismore afterwards for a slap up dinner. Fully deserved.
