FKT: John Waters - Badger State Trail (WI) - 2021-04-24

All through 2020, I've been studying up on ultrarunning and had plans to do a backyard ultra this year before it was cancelled. I decided then to do a one-way run from the Illinois border to the Madison capital which is 46ish miles. Having only ever run marathons/halfs and a few triathlons, this was very much unchartered territory. It was harder in many ways than a full Ironman! I starting running around 4:45am with a friend and somehow got it all done. It was just like a marathon, there was a point where it was just pure misery (I think about 35 miles in probably). Real proud of this, can't wait to do an official race sometime!
