Spent a few days looking for caribou up north, but since I wasn't finding any decided to go romp up Lake Benchmark Mountain. Kindof a random FKT, but it is a beautiful view and there are few more accessible peaks in the area. Came across fresh fox, wolf, and bear tracks on the way up - the carnivores like the pass between the upper Kuparuk and Atigun gorge to stay away from the road. I'll have to go back when the upper half isn't covered with snow.
