parked the car in Gainford and followed the route through to Durham Cathedral.
Planned for 5 hours. Based on sub 5:45 min/km pace for 30km and 6 min/km remaining 20km. (With a few minutes spare)
conditions were perfect. No grass or crops in the fields and not too muddy so easier running.
Was well ahead of schedule by 30km and maintained a steady pace until the finish. Knowing the route meant very little lost time with navigating errors.
This was an unsupported effort. The picture shows the nutrition and water I carried. The only stops were for road crossings / photos.
