Started/finished at the gate- was helpful to look at previous attempts for where exactly to start and finish.
I started/ finished my run at hwy 82, I started the route at the gate at 42:00 minutes and got back to the gate at 2:34:59 = 1:52:59 for my FKT submission.
Overall a fun route, kind of wish the route included Red Mtn for more time up high/ a different descent off of Garfield.
During the run I was thinking of continuing on to Red but ultimately decided to stick to the FKT route.
Then I started thinking about what it would look like if routes could evolve more easily on the website while not losing the history of times on said route and also not having tons of variations per each route.
In the end, every outing doesn’t have to be an FKT. I remember exchanges with Peter years ago about these ideas, after having some route ideas rejected by the FKT website. Sometimes the routes on the website are amazing and sometimes they miss the mark, either way it’s all good.
