Around mile 5.7 it could be tempting to shortcut the trail, I think it should be noted that this fkt requires staying on the Little Brown’s Creek Trail to the end of the trail (mile 6.1) where it meets the 4x4 road. It’s pretty obvious looking at gpx files to tell if someone did/didn’t stay on the trail.
The high alpine gets hit pretty hard in this area by vehicles, staying on trail/road is important.
